You may wish to get up early for this day as there is more things to see than we can list here! Starting from Moab, you can hit the little-visited southern side of Canyonlands National Park and Looking Glass Rock, then head down to the famous (or infamous?) Moki Dugway to thrill yourself as you decent the steep switchbacks carved into the mesa side overlooking the stunning valley floor below with Monument Valley in the distance. Stop by Goosenecks State Park for the unbelievable view of the river making multiple, perfect ‘gooseneck’ bends all in a row right below you. Catch the Mexican Hat rock formation as you ride on to one of the most photographed regions in the world of Monument Valley. Finally, continue on to Second Mesa on the Hopi Reservation.
SPECIAL NOTE: Please note the Hopi Reservation is a very remote region, but centrally located between the Grand Canyon National Park and Canyon de Chelly National Monument. The people living in this area tend to be a bit more traditional and there are sensitivities to tourists taking video and photographs without verbal consent. This area is as authentic as it gets and although the people are warm and friendly, respect needs to be maintained at all times to help protect their way of life. Very special off-bike moments are planned for our visit in this rich, cultural region. Our hotel is at the Hopi Cultural Center, at the heart of the Hopi Reservation.
